Hi All,
Today I called the office of Dr. Wellington Tichenor, a sinus specialist in NYC.
The office staff were super nice, unfortunately, I was informed that Dr. Tichenor does not take insurance and that the first appointment is $600!!
Any testing needed is also charged out of pocket and there is no payment plan.
I've lost so much and now am on Medicaid (Horizon, BCBS HMO).
Since I started using Flonase - end of 2014 - I have avoided sinus infections. However, the increased dryness has caused throbbing headaches every morning, despite my use of saline spray (Neilmed saline stream) and a humidifier at night.
I still wake up with my nasal passages bone dry.
I have a set of catscans from Boston that I can send to a specialist, but are there any specialists that are affordable?
Thanks so MUCH!
