Please excuse my ignorance, if it appears in my question.....
I see that people are looking for turbinates to be regenerated/created, and I understand this focus as the turbinate dysfunction or lack thereof plays a central role in ENS.
So, if the turbinate is replaced (as in grown from stem cells after total turbinectomy) or improved (as in enlarged after partial resection) then ENS is "cured"?
Well, I was thinking since this may be a bit in the future, I wondered if I should focus on finding solutions to help the mucosa, i.e. nasal lining? If this could be improved, would some of the symptoms of ENS improve? or would the dysfunctional/missing turbinate prevent this?
Sorry but I am still trying to figure out ENS.
Basically, I would like to be on the look out for any regenerative medicine developments that may help. But, I don't exactly know what to look for. I do get the impression that solution for ENS in the near future will be an application of a procedure developed for some other purpose that can be used to treat ENS.
I see a lot of people before me have worked hard to find help and I, being desperate for a cure, want to do some investigating and contacting myself and continue adding to the forum's collective knowledge.
