To all those that have expressed their doubts about how effective You-Tube can be: I suggest you pay attention to the recent text feedback that Soko received about her video:
We only have about 7 or 8 people there and not everyone is entering enough search tags, but still those videos are getting a lot of attention and many comments, from many people that have never seen this board and have never heard of ENS.
That ENT for example will send a link to another two or three ENT's and they will each forward that link to another two or three ENTs, and so on...
The more videos we have the more impressive our case will be. They have only been there for a very short time but are beginning to create a ripple effect that in today's age of communication and information technology is bound to make an impact that will last. But we need many more videos uploaded to YouTube for our case to be strong and convincing.
Those who uploaded their video have made a stand in favour of promoting ENS awareness and the need for more ENT involvement for improving our lives with ENS.
Like it or not, but those who are not posting their video, regardless of the reasons they have, are effectively making a choice against increasing ENS awareness.
I know it's harsh, but the fact is that we are fighting against the silencing politics of the turbinators and ENT establishment. By vocalising our voices they can no longer enforce this silence. By keeping silent you are helping them and playing into their hands. You may not like what I'm saying, but that's a fact!
"I am an ENT surgeon in practice for 20 years. I was taught never to remove turbinates. They are the natural humidifiers of the nose. Send your videos and testimonials to the AAO-HNS and push them to educate those ENT's that still do this harmful procedure, and write policy on it."
