I'm currently trying to find out from the hospital that did my surgery if my turbinates were touched. Having read stuff from here, I'm going to try and request a copy of a CT scan if they did one. I don't know if I have much hope of getting this being that it was years ago, and I don't have much hope for anything from this hospital.
I've tried reading how other people describe suffocation. I'm not sure the word fits me perfectly. Here's what I feel: I can't take long breaths through my nose...no more than two seconds (I noticed this wasn't normal when doing meditation and everyone else can take a long breath in). I don't have much sensation when breathing through my nose (as someone else has said it feels like they're just two dead holes in my face). I do feel a bit out of breath a lot of the time, and very quickly doing activities. But I don't know if I'd go so far as to call it suffocation - I don't know if I'm misunderstanding the term though.
How much better are you and what did you do to get better? At the moment I'm trying putting ear plugs up my nose for certain periods of time, and putting olive oil on a Q-tip and tea tree oil. I suspect this won't help anything except the dryness of the nose? I don't see how it could help oxygen getting through to the rest of my body?
Thanks
