Mary, honestly do you feel like you're getting anything from the injections beyond this momentary relief? I read so many first person accounts and a temporary, botox like positive effect followed by disappointing longer-term results seems very common.

I was only remarking on the immediate post-injection "benefit". I was trying to express that I felt it too, and say that I believe it is 100% due to "bulk" being created by the amount of fluid injected in addition to the acell.

I am not sure, but I felt that the mucus in my nose did not dry like it does following a few breaths nornally. Is this because the "bulk" helped to also limit the amount of air? This temporary post-injection "benefit" also subsided in a few hours.

My prelminary thoughts:

I believe I got a long term benefit from the first injection, although it is subtle, but this did not take place until well over a month later. Dr. Das also remarked my mucosa looked better.

I know I was swollen ( an inflammatory response?) for at least two weeks post injection the first time, if not longer.

The first question is  - can I breathe better immediately following an injection because the "bulk" improves airflow, or because the "bulk" opened some collapsed nasal valve and other areas? I don't know. Maybe both reasons?

The second question is - even if I get improved function of the tissue, do I actually need a lot more bulk than the PRP/Acell will provide, even with modest tissue growth (if I am so lucky to have this).

Final remark:
With regard to people reporting disappointing long-term results - I feel that the people who did not have long term benefit are writing here and on FB, while those who are doing better are not reporting. It is difficult to say what the truth is without hard eveidence, but I believe that is what is going on .
