Im just sharing my thoughs on this stupid disease based on my experience.
I dont agree with the theory of redirecting airflow to healthier areas because I believe that the symptons at least that I experience come from malfunction of the turbinates as a unit and not single parts. Im not saying this in a bad way, I appreciate your comments very much nose1, dont get me wrong!
I compare this to a car. My car are the turbinates and gasoline is blood. The car stopped working once the fuel intake was damaged, as Dr Das injects fuel temporarly everything works fine and there are no symptons. It fades away since the scarring doesnt allow the normal blood flow that is required.
I don't think that anyone has all the answers so I think we all need to be able to share our perspectives even when we disagree. Discussing ideas is how we will all learn.
Two main questions to consider:
1) How do you explain that some people feel better by simply redirecting the airflow during the cotton test? There is no component here that corresponds to "activating" the turbinate nor providing "fuel."
2) Using your analogy above, how do you explain that the injection acts like fuel to the car? It is not really a blood sample that is injected during Das treatments. The blood drawn is centrifuged down to make PRP which is a concentration of growth factors from the blood which are used to heal but I would not consider this to act like fuel. It is really substances that signal the body to heal. In addition, Acell is a biological scaffold that aids in healing and formation of new tissue thus this does not seem to fit with your analogy.
