Thankyou for your replies! So much has changed since 2007. Dr. Houser was It and the one to go to. And I thank God for his help back then. Dear Mary S, a little background on me.. In the beginning, I was only left with 15% inferior turbinate on L side and 25% left in the R side inferior turbinate! My R sinus was punctured and had a hole in it. The posterior third of both my middle turbinates were cut off. My symptoms only came from the R side. The cotton test only helped me on the R side. In 2007 Dr. Houser placed 2 alloderm implants on my R side. One lateral implant 4 cm's in and under the inferior turb( this also closed the puncture) and one in my septum near the opening. Good news is they cured me for 8 years. I posted my success here many, many years ago. So long ago I couldn't remember my username for this forum. Now I have this new one. Anyway, bad news, my symptom came back last year, can't resonate voice or carry on conversations. Dr. Houser re-evaluated me and said the lateral wall implant has shrunk by 50% and it needs to be repeated. I trust him because he helped me so much. However, I am curious about these newer techniques I am reading about here and want to explore a more permanent solution.
