I had and still have a severely deviated septum, I got it done originally for both aesthetic and functional reasons, I was always bunged up on one side(which would alternate) and felt like I had a permanent cold - which I later learnt was down to allergies rather than the deviated septum. The first surgery seemed to do nothing so a couple of years later I had it done again with a different surgeon, straight after surgery I could see that it hadn't improved but was brushed off, in the end I put it behind me and just thought I'd live with it for now but about 18 months later and I'm suffering with ENS like symptoms, not full-blown ENS "fortunately" but the whole lack of humidification and resulting throat dryness is really getting me down, I know a lot of you have it a lot worse so in some sick way I should be thankful but it's still not a pleasant feeling. I looked at the surgery sheet the other day and can see that IT reduction is listed, I don't know how much they were reduced by and I have no idea what I'm even supposed to be looking at, I just hope the condition doesn't get any worse.
