Probably a couple of things. Since ENS is poorly understood, what we are looking for will vary.

That said,
1. Submucosal regeneration to create additional volume for those that have not had mucosal destructive procedures
2. Epithelial regeneration for those who have had the outer layer of the turbinates cut
3. Bone regeneration for those who have had the turbinate bones removed or partially removed (This may still be able to get some improvement from #1)
4. Nerve regeneration- this is the silver bullet for many, but also the most difficult. A question would be if #2 would also regenerate nerves or if additional efforts would be needed.
