I know you have other problems, like pain and stuff and you said you have scarred tissue, but thats another story I'm ONLY TALKING ABOUT INSIDE YOUR SINUSES. please irrigate regularly with xylitol! Dr. Grossan will tell you the same thing, I have been to his office multiple times. He is a firm believer in nasal irrigation for a lot of problem including ENS. I think irrigation benifits most ENS sufferers but not all.

Your sinuses don't look too bad AT ALL. I had surgery Because my entire right maxillary sinus was full and a lot of my ethmoid cells were full as well, on my left side I had more than you. I also had polyps I think all you have to do is daily nasal irrigation with xylitol, and you should be able to get your symptoms under control. If you are taking medication you can also be having reaction to medication. stop the medication and go on a good diet, eat a lot veggies, less fruit, not dairy, or wheat, cheicken is good and red meat only once or twice a week. DRINK LOTS OF WATER. Diet and allergies can affect nasal dryness as well. while allergies ARE usually very juicy in nature, you CAN have allergies without having a runny nose. I have asked several ENT's.

I had dryness BEFORE to my sinus surgery, if you have poor drainage and inflamed sinuses this could contribute to your dryness. according to Dr. Grossan whom I saw about two years after my surgery, I don't have ENS, but I have nasal congestion on one side EVERY DAY. The cause of my nasal congestion is mostly unknown. My turbinates were not mentioned in my surgery report I just had my sinuses opened. from my CT: My inferior turbinates are completely intact and my Middle turbintates have moved around since the surgeon had to move it to get to different parts of my sinuses. However, I'm still dry right now, I am starting to see a very clear trend between my diet and my nose. My inferior turbinates are swollen in all the CT's I've taken after my surgery. My symptoms could just be some type of allergy, food sensitivity, autoimmune, or vasomotor rhinitis that developed over time.

The dryness crept up very slowly. I had it for about a month or two before surgery as well. If you're breathing from one nose then your other nose has to take the workload of the entire nose and becomes dry as well. A lot of things can contribute to dryness. Dryness alone is NOT ENS.
