Well, I think everyone's on a diet already, everyone's picky about what they eat and that makes them on their own diet. There are several factors about being on a diet besides eating less and is not always about eating less. Diets are not always and should not be about controlling weight. We can be skinny and still be really sick.

When I'm talking about a diet I mean a diet that helps you cope with your condition.

For example let's say ENS people are high on oxygen. This could mean that the reason we feel depressed is because when too much oxygen is absorbed our bodies use up more vitamins and minerals to move the oxygen through the body, mainly iron. So by eating more Iron rich foods we can cope with this. Also to utilize Vitmin D which is used to get calcium into our blood stream we need oxygen but too much oxygen will use up too much vitamin D and to cope we would need to eat foods with more vitamin D like fish or get more sunlight. Vitamin D is also used to regulate dopamine production which gives us a sense of well being. So all these factors can be taken into account in a diet for ENS sufferers.
