Kris,
my mistake about you not stopping the antibiotics, sorry. However I was mistaken because I remembered that you were not taking the honey alone, so assumed it was with the antibiotics. So I did a little research I found this:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I saw my ENT today who was out of the country when I decided to go off cipro for an antibiotic-resistant infection. A resident okayed my decision. I have been doing manuka honey, colloidal silver, herbs and homeopathics. The ENT was impressed. I do not appear to be infected. It was the first time he has seen me that I haven't been. He is going to give it 2 weeks and check it on a CT scan.

If the infection is gone in 2 weeks, chalk one up for honey and silver.

I am not in good shape otherwise. The mucous membrane was "stripped out" by the surgeon when he did a Caldwell-Luc.

I cannot understand why a surgeon would do this. I did not have any sinus symptoms.

Any more ideas for regenerating mucous membrane?

"I have been doing manuka honey, colloidal silver, herbs and homeopathics."
As you were taking the honey with collidal silver, herbs and homeopathics, you can't really know for sure that it was the honey, as it could have been the silver or one of the others, or the combination of the lot, or simply the fact that you stopped taking the the antibiotics allowed your immune system to get stronger and finish the infection on it's own. After all, it's not really a controlled study what you did, right?

You know very well that I said nothing about the honey not being effective. All I did was warn other people from not applying the honey directly and undiluted, which was something that who ever recommended it in the first place should have done, especially given that he dilutes it himself

I must say, that I am somewhat disheartened that after everything I wrote in that post which related to all the other issues and questions you raised, not to mention all the previous good advice I gave you, you find it fit only to go on about the honey and not relate to the other more important things I wrote about in that post.

Anyway, thanks for listening.
